exterior scaffolding damaged furniture
the hotel was undergoing exterior work. scaffolding surrounded the entire building, obstructing the view. the room itself was small, and some of the furniture was damaged. this.

convenient stay near gare de lyon
convenient location good bistro safe area many shops
the location was indeed convenient. the hotel is very close to the train station, metro, shops and restaurants. the staff gave us a very good bistro recommendation, i appreciated that a lot. the area felt safe for walking, with many shops and cafes nearby.
i must say scaffolding was present around the whole building. it made the hotel look a bit unwelcoming. it slightly obscured any view out of the window, too.

the room had air conditioning that worked very well. it included a comfortable bed and an excellent shower. the room i had was actually a bit larger than expected, it was good.

The hotel has a lift which serves all floors. I found it helpful. i noticed every floor by the lift has a water cooler. reception appears to be manned into the evening. Very practical. there is also luggage storage service available.

The staff are always available, it is great. i found them helpful too, very kind. the people working there are attentive. I appreciated their service a lot. the hotel has 24-hour staff.

It is about 5 minutes walk from the entrance to the train station. plenty of bars and bistros are nearby. the metro station is also close to the hotel. Very convenient. finding it wasn't too difficult at all. Rue traversière is short

adequate stay near the station
excellent location nice cafe good restaurant scaffolding coverage unwelcoming look darker room
the location proved excellent for gare de lyon access. a nice cafe sat just outside the hotel entrance. i found a very good chinese restaurant right next to the building.
scaffolding covered the whole building. this made it look unwelcoming and obscured any view. it made the room seem darker too.

i stayed in the classic double room. the bed was firm and the sheets were crisp. the breakfast offered a cooked option, including continental selections.
there was scaffolding outside, it slightly obstructed the view.

amazing location early bag storage water damage smelly pillows
the location was amazing, and the bakery across the street had the best baguettes. we could store our bags early, really helpful.
The room i had wasn't in the best shape. It had water damage and peeling paint on the ceiling. the decorative pillows smelled bad, which i didn't like.
